Nouveau Chamber Ballet is a nonprofit ballet company committed to making the art of dance accessible, inclusive, and inspiring for all. Our company has been enriching the community through dance performance and education since its founding in 1988 by former New York City Ballet soloist Lois Ellyn. Bringing together not only aspiring dancers, but choreographers, composers, and designers, our performances showcase a diverse range of creative voices through classical and contemporary works. Our cultural education programs, performances for school children, and “Sponsor a School” ticket initiative strive to make ballet visible and welcoming to everyone. Based on our fundamental belief that the collaborative art of dance performance builds community and connection, we aim to provide high quality training and professional-level performance opportunities for our dancers.
